I’m feeling that just was not there with independence and while BYU doesn’t play their first season till 2023, just the fact that Kalani and staff can leverage their conference affiliation with recruiting now and now that fans don’t have to continue to wander through the desert wondering if BYU ever makes it in — it just provides real good reason to be excited again.

I’m proud of my sons who have been big BYU fans since they were old enough to get it. There have been countless times they have been ridiculed and teased by friends, coaches neighbors for wearing BYU gear but my sons never wavered in their love of the cougars. Now they get to finish their childhood watching BYU as a P5 athletic program and I’m super happy about that.
