I keep hearing them talk about how Utah is 9-1 in the last 10 games, how a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then, and how it's just one game. Blah blah blah.

But, here's the thing: EVERYTHING changed this week.

I'm not saying BYU is going to win 9 in a row or go to the CFP; I'm not making any predictions except to say that things will be DIFFERENT going forward. A couple things:

We're joining a P5 conference, which is going to help recruiting;
We have a lot of momentum with the program;
We have a dynamic Head Coach who is beloved by players and fans;
We already have solid talent;
We have now broken the streak of losing to our rivals; and
Cougar Nation feels a rebirth of excitement, optimism, and support (financial, cheering, etc.).

So, it wasn't just one game or just one week. It was the beginning of something DIFFERENT. Ute fans can try to dismiss it all they want, but we will be a different - and I believe MUCH BETTER - team the next time we play them. It's a completely new era of BYU Football.
