I was listening to a Big 12 radio show and the guy said that BYU doesn't bring
much when it comes to hot recruiting markets. Yet the state of Utah produces a TON of talent according to Maxpreps. Utah has 35 players ranked 3 stars or higher which blows away any other state comparable in size.

Also this map done a few years ago showed Utah was the best in the west when it came to FBS recruits on a per capita basis
