Close call.
Taking a knee makes it a certain two score game instead of 1/1000 or so that it’s an 8 point game.
Getting 11 instead of ten means ASU can’t tie with a TD, onside kick, and field goal. A very tough feat with so little time.
It’s hard to calculate odds on which gives the better chance of winning. Maybe the numbers support taking the knee, but I doubt it’s by much.
