I wanna tip my hat to everyone who has worked to improve the gameday experience.
Back in my day (mid 2000s) the Marriott Center was always unbelievable. But the football stadium experience was very mediocre. The student section wasn't even a section. They just put us in a bunch of random spots. One week you'd be in the south endzone, the next week you'd be on the south end of the east side, the next week you'd be in the north endzone, or you could end up on the north end of the east side. The old geezers couldn't be bothered to stand up. The videos screens were dumpy. Zero tailgating and no Cougar Canyon or anything like that, so a lot of people showed up late. Never any coordination on shirt color, and frankly it seemed like hardly anyone could be bothered to wear blue at all.

It was still a lot of fun, of course. The 2006 TCU game, the 2007 Utah game, and the 2008 UCLA game were the best home games during my time as a student (although the rainout game against Tulsa in 2006 was also pretty fun).

But it pales in comparison to how it is now. I tip my hat to everyone involved it making it happen.

(I'll give the TINIEST amount of credit to the Muss because I think when that got going it made people at BYU realize we needed to up the game).
