I moved to the Gilbert area of AZ about 6 years ago
I have never lived in a high LDS area except for my time at BYU. I got to know my neighbor (and member) within the first week and at our very first meeting, he talked about his "hatred" of BYU football. He said he couldn't wait for yesterday's game (6 years ago)...he was going to Provo, sitting in the student section and yelling at the kids the entire game. I left that conversation very puzzled...is he for real???
I remembered this conversation last night as ASU was backed up against the ROC and the repeated false start penalties. After the game, I texted him..."Glad you were contributing to the noise that caused all of the false start penalties." I have yet to receive a response...haha

I’ve had multiple guys in Arizona wards over the years that “hate” BYU. I don’t understand it. It’s pretty common.
