I have one (Built, protein bar) for breafast.
I'm not a morning person, don't like large meals for breakfast. A protein bar is just right.
I've switched to Built. It is a good bar, and I figure I can support them as they support BYU.

They are an easy snack or meal replacement. You answered your own question.

A 400 calorie snack probably happens more than we'd like to admit.

Same reason you drink a protein shake.

I've been eating them as a late breakfast before going on my mid-morning 5-mile walks.
