I was thinking that filling in the corners like everyone always talks about would ruin some of the natural beauty that makes the stadium unique.

Yes, the stadium is very utilitarian and not very modern, but it does its job and there are very few stadiums (Washington is the only one I can think of) that compete with the setting.
