When not a CFP game the Rose is tied to B1G/PAC. Not just for their champ but the next best team if the champ or 2nd place team are some how in the CFP.
Sugar has that tie to SEC/B12 and this is most likely to be down to a 3rd best team for SEC as they have been most likely comf to get 2 teams into CFP in same year.
Orange is tied to ACC and SEC/B1G/ND for the other side of the game.
In a non CFP year the Rose can only have B1G/PAC teams.
