After 4 games we thought that was OUR YEAR!!!!!!

- Blowout win at UCONN where Taysom suddenly looked like (gasp) he could pass.
- Absolute shellacking of Texas 41-7 in Austin (still maybe my best experience live at a football game). I'll never forget the sound of the crowd when Taysom hurdled the dude. They were shocked. It was awesome.
- Then a solid win over a good Houston team.
- Then a win over UVA that was pretty dominant in every phase.

We go into the Utah State game at home ranked #18 in the country. We're retiring Jim McMahon's number. It's a white out. All is right with the world...and then a season-ending injury for Taysom. Utah State runs us out of the stadium. We then lose 4 in a row (Utah State, UCF, Nevada, Boise State), before salvaging the season with wins over Middle Tennessee, UNLV, Savannah State, and then conclude with Cal.

If you would have polled every BYU fan after that UVA game, we thought we weren't gonna be challenged the rest of the year. 7 straight G5 opponents and then a bad Cal team to close the year. Pencil in the Fiesta Bowl or better BABY!
