If the ACC champ does not make the CFP, they will occupy one of the remaining at-large spots, leaving only 2 spots open. The only way for BYU to guarantee an at-large spot to the NY6 is to rise to at least 6th. BYU can obviously grab a spot with a lower rank if the team conference affiliations of the teams above them fall just right.
