Turnpike Lane CB Barometer
I think many of the complaints were valid, because BYU has changed their D formations and looks this season.

PLaying more cover 3. Last year predominantly cover 2.  Also, giving more uneven fronts this year, with Chaz at or near the LOS along with an LB.  So even when in a 3-4, LBs not sitting back and just focusing on positioning and first step back.


This year the D is fantastic, simply because they are mixing it up with looks, pressuring a little more, even if still running a 3-4 or 4-3.  Just disguising multiple looks has been great. 


Credit to corners that can cover and allow cover-3, and safeties that can play it too.  Ah You and Moore have been exceptional too.  Mandell, Herron, Hayes and Willis have been too.
