And it is especially dumb when you refer to a stock vehicle (however capable it may be from the factory) as a rig. I see it all the time in motoring publications and it's just spilled over into the public's vernacular, and I wish it would stop.
"We took along our XYZ as our support rig.."
Oh, you mean the factory stock truck that the manufacture gave you so you could write a ton of publicity articles about it?
Did that "rig" help you stop at Starbucks, sit in AC all day, and assist you in tucking in your L.L. Bean button-up into cargo pants so we could see how big your beer belly is?
It's stupid bullcuss, self-important tAcTiKeWl slang like this that drives me absolutely bonkers.
