No, but it is a fact that the AP and CFP rankings are influenced by perception.
If you want to boost your perception in the minds of the voters, you gotta blow out supposedly inferior teams aka cover the spread, or at least come close.
Not that I have any delusions about making the CFP, but a NY6 bowl berth is very much in play IF BYU can play a complete game on both sides of the ball. Fortunately we haven’t needed to do so to get to 4-0, but if we want to get to 12-0 or at least 11-1, we’ll need to improve.
