Rise Against Intervention Needed
Clemson is a prime example of how hard it is to win every week in college football, and why we need perspective for BYU.
Clemson has the 3rd highest paid head coach in all of college football, the 4th highest assistant (Venables), the 11th highest assistant (Elliot), and an o-line coach that makes more than our offensive coordinator. So why should we expect BYU to win every week when not even Clemson can pull that off? BYU's coaching staff salaries pale in comparison to that of Clemson.

Based off composite rankings, Clemson has 12 5 star players and 42 4 star players on their current roster (mind blown). BYU has one 4 star player, Chaz AhYou. That's it. So from a talent standpoint they are in a completely different universe from us.

As for strength of schedule, BYU was ranked #34 and Clemson #35. So it's not like Clemson is playing murderer's row. So why should we expect BYU to be winning every week and blowing teams away when not even Clemson is doing that this year with all the money and talent in the world?

I say we enjoy this season. The past 17 games have been really fun as a BYU fan. It's not very often we see the kind of success we've seen the last two seasons. We have been ranked 14 of the last 16 weeks. In the prior 10 seasons we had only been ranked 8 times in over 120 weeks of games. You have to go back to the 2008-2009 season to find anything that comes evern remotely close to what we're seeing right now. So more than a decade ago. And yet it's crazy how many fans can't enjoy what we're seeing. It's a fun season so far. Go Cougs!
