I get that assignments were being missed... but it was also a lot more than that...
Explain to me how a starter, Bywater, can run right at a ball carrier and last minute, he sidesteps the ball carrier and tries an arm tackle instead of lowering the shoulder and just running through a guy?

Bywater and Wilger both had terrible angles the entire night, and were playing the inside shoulder of the QB the entire night, and that allowed the QB to bounce further to the outside and get around them... and there was no corner or safety out there at all. Those 2 are starters... they are the LB's for the rest of the season, and yet their play is anything but starter quality play.

A lot of the issues yesterday were simply stuff that can't be fixed in a week, it's stuff that is organized and practiced and worked on in Fall Summer/fall camp practices...

I get that some positions were seeing 3rd and 4th string guys, but what is very clear is that we no longer have the guy that can step up and be the difference maker on the team, like Pili. Someone needs to decide now to be the guy to stand up and play sound fundamental, aggressive football. Nobody wanted that role last night.
