if Houston gets swept by Tampa Bay, A’s sweep Seattle and then sweep Houston again, they would tie for the AL West and have a one game playoff.

Crazy at is it seems, this scenario is actually more likely than the craziness that would have to happen for Oakland to get a wildcard spot.
