I have a bit of a contrarian opinion. Having raised 5 kids and running them to every soccer/basketball/football/dance game or recital, I think we have created a monster. Somehow, if we don't attend every event, we aren't great parents. I disagree. Kids are not as resilient as they used to be and I think may be one of the reasons--it's all about them. They've become snowflakes.

I say if you want to go to the game--go!
