I received my first set of Dodgers trading cards from the LAPD. Steve Sax, Alejandro Pena, Fernando Valenzuela. Shortly thereafter, my dad, whose fandom was nurtured under the static-y voice of Vin Scully through his transistor radio, while he tended to his milking responsibilities on the dairy farm in Idaho Falls, took me to my first game as a 5 year old in Dodger Stadium.
