They scored six TDs yesterday. Five of those TDs were drives of six plays or less. All of those drives took less than four minutes. Four took less than two minutes. Two took less than a minute.
We all know what scoring drives look like against BYU: the excruciatingly painful but exactly the opposite.
It sure seems like a good week to find out if they can be patient. Because we know that they can get chunk plays and score quickly. We don’t know if they can drive the length of the field and score consistently. They also have a propensity for the three and out (which I’m sure we can cure them of in short order).
Looking at a lot of their scoring drives this season and it looks like many of them involve a play of 30+ yards. If Jaren is QB, I sure don’t like our chances in a shootout.
