If you had a microphone recording everything said in NFL locker rooms by players, I'm sure this would be just the tip of the iceberg. If you had every email from every team employee, I'm sure there would be many more cases like this.

I hate that stuff like what Gruden said even gets said by anyone. Sadly, though, I suspect it's probably pretty prevalent and I'm not sure I feel like starting what amounts to a witch hunt is the wisest course. A 10 year NFL O-lineman who is black who is one of the hosts of a morning show here in town made the comment this morning that "if you are going to can Gruden over his words - and you absolutely should - you have to realize that things just as inappropriate are commonplace in locker rooms and practice facilities in the league. And probably in many places of employment. If you keep going, where does it end?" Yes the Genie is out of the bottle with Gruden and you can't put it back. He had to go because you can't say that have it be public and expect a free pass. I'm simply saying that I don't really want to know what others - be they coaches, owners, players, etc - have said. Let this be a lesson to everyone and move on.
