They had FIVE GAMES of film on them...
They ran the same power run to formation strength, with a weak side pulling guard time and time again. That is a staple of EVERY offense regardless of what your game plan was.

I honestly think the biggest problem was we just didn't have the guys to stop it. We had a Strong Safety playing LB when it wasn't a Freshman back-up LB. We have some solid players, but we're young and don't have a ton of beef at LB. Pili, Bywater, and Wilgar are the only ones at 230+ which is about average for P5 LBs (maybe slightly on the small side). The other guys who play are 215 or less (Chaz is listed at 206). Any decent D1 OL with a relatively clean look is gonna block those guys 8 times out of 10.

The best way to stop it would have been to attack the strong side B gap with a (non-delayed) blitz from the second or third line player (LB or DB) to blow it up behind the LOS. We did do that a couple of times, it just so happened to be on pass plays where the LB was easily picked up in pass protection.

It is tough to cover everything; it just is. You probably want a delayed blitz in PA or deep drop passing game. You want the aggressive blitz to get penetration in the run game (or the quick passing game). You guess right and it works; you guess wrong and you look bad. Tuiaki just seems to consistently guess wrong...
