People do not understand modern day bigotry in the workplace. They don't usually
walk into a boardroom full of people spouting off racist, sexist, or homophobic statements. They don't usually tell a person they are not being selected based on their race. They know enough to keep it quiet.
But even if Gruden was able to keep his viewpoints separate from his coaching decisions, how can he coach diversity now? Every decision he makes will be questioned. Every player playing for him will wonder.
He is no more a victim of cancel culture than Cuomo was.
