We were going to relocate to Lakewood Ranch East of the Tampa area
but the price of homes was equal to Utah and it was dang busy. More people in Tampa than Utah and about the same in Orlando. I just had the feel of SoCal all over it. But once we got a little ways inland away from both cities, the pace of everything slowed a lot and all the convinces were there.

Do a good hard look at the taxation in Florida. They rave about no State Income Taxes, but property taxes are not low and RE prices are high. One thing I really did like about the Central Florida are was that there was more territory to view. It wasn't just all pine Forrests covering everything. Lots on the lakes were very pretty, but you have to have a cage on your pool if you really want to enjoy it to the fullest. The new cages have big spans on the back so there aren't any posts in the middle of the view. Much nicer.
