In addition to four Chargers I've got a 1969 Road Runner. It's a 383 HP that's been bored and stroked to about 496 ci. It's possible to get enough HP out of the big block 383 so it runs right up there with a 440 or a 426 Hemi.

It has a factory 4 speed and Hurst shifter. It's got the original Hemi 8 quart oil pan and suspension. It's got headers and a number of modifications have been done.

The original owner raced it back when it was new, it's still got the traction bars on it.

It was driven for a few years and then put in storage where it apparently sat for around 30 years. Finally somebody pulled it out and restored it. It didn't have any rust but needed some body work. Had a good painter paint it to the original color. Eventually they sold it.

The car changed hands a couple of times and then I ended up buying it several years ago. I've done some work on it, replaced the old and worn out stuff where needed. The work never ends on old cars, always something more that can be done.

So now it sits in my garage with the other old cars. A former race car earning glory on the street and strip reduced to sitting in a garage.
