I love my mom but she grew up during the Depression....
I was out of town on business, so my parents took my wife and young kids at the time out for dinner.
They went to the Old Spaghetti Factory. As they were finishing up, the waitress asked if they needed anything else. My mom asked for more breadsticks (they were complimentary). My kids were like, "Grandma we're stuffed" My mom said, "I ordered them for later" She stuck them in her purse after waitress left.
They paid the bill and my mom took them back to our house for later. My kids have shared that story for years.

I forgot the worst one I know. A family reuses their cereal milk. I haven't seen it first hand but I know the family
