Was there an actual rule making involved, or did whoever set up the meet just decide to do a 5k distance at the new site? Some states actually have the state meet distance written into the rules, but I haven’t been able to find such a rule for Utah.

Just curious, since most of the country does 5k and Utah has been in the minority sticking with 3 mile races. It looks like for the regular season the state is split 50/50 between 3 mile and 5k races.
