BYU was the media darling. Getting tons of press for the great season they were having. Getting into the Big 12. Up 10-0 against BSU and then the rains came 2 fumbles lead to 2 short field TDs and BYU loses to an unranked team. Even though BYU had beaten 2 top 25 teams at the time of the game they drop 9 spots in the polls. Oregon loses to a non top 25 team and barely drops. Alabama loses to a non top 25 team and barely drops. Amazing how a little rain and 2 fumbles changes the narrative on BYU. BYU beats BSU 9 out of 10 times on a regular sunny day. If it hadnt rained last Saturday BYU wins going away probably 38- 17. It’s maddening how variables like rain and 2 short field TDs can’t be dismissed by the pollsters. Especially after seeing BYU up 10-0 before the rains came. . But most pollsters probably just saw the final score and had no idea it rained and BSU got 2 gimme scores because of fumbles.

I guess what I am trying to say is. If it hadn’t rained BYU easily wins last week. The media needs to see and understand that and give BYU the benefit like they give to other teams. Not all losses are the same.
