Stop the “Tuiaki doesn’t have the depth” argument. Who is responsible for the
Defense overall? (Play calling, recruiting, player performance/development, etc.) It’s Tuiaki.

At any organization in the world, you are ultimately responsible for your piece of the entity. No exceptions here either. Tuiaki has been recruiting DL for years and should be well into the depth he wants. It doesn’t matter we aren’t a P5.

Yesterday, We had one main guy out on the DL with injury and that is Fautaea. Against Boise last week, no main player was out (yes, I know Pili is out) Back to back weeks of getting obliterated on run defense is unacceptable, especially against a patchwork Boise line.

The fact he can’t figure out to pressure a QB that struggles when pressure comes his way (Bachmeier) last week is unacceptable as well. I watched enough film on Boise to figure that out. Yesterday is the same, when Baylor’s QB was pressured on down and distance, he made poor decisions. (Should have had two interceptions yesterday) This has been a theme his whole career and it’s frustrating to watch on a weekly basis.

Lastly, his in-game adjustments are abysmal. It’s almost as if Kalani takes over for him at times because he doesn’t get it.

We need a better D coordinator if we are going to truly compete in the Big12. Tuiaki is not the answer.
