Definitely not what you're used to hearing in a telecast with the stuffy, overproduced broadcaster voice. But I think broadcasting is slowly moving away from that, and more towards a less produced, more genuine sounding commentator. And I think he did a pretty decent job of hiding the fact that he had an obvious rooting interest.
It wasn't perfect. But he certainly didn't sound like he was brand new at it, or that he didn't know what he was doing.
