Agreed. But with the Reitman/Ramis/Akroyd rewrites it turned out pretty good.
I'm not saying the original Akroyd premise would have been good. I just would have liked seeing what Eddie in particular would have brought to the table with the revised script.
But no Murray as Venkman? Totally different movie.
