I've been wanting to call BS on the "labor shortage" issue for a while,
especially as I've been desperately searching for a job I don't hate for the past 4+ years and interviewing constantly. This adds fuel to my fire:
I think employers are full of it. They just don't want to keep up with inflation, and have been enjoying decades (DECADES) of wage stagnation. It hurts the greedy to pay somebody what they're worth, I think it's actually physically painful.

Depends on the job. But if you go out in public you can see that there are employee shortages with your own eyes. Both
