We knew the owner of a chain clothing store. She sorely needed people
but time after time, she would offer them a job, they'd say no thanks. half of them wouldn't show up for interview times.
she got to the point when someone asked to 'see the manager about a job' she would have them fill out and leave an application. 90% of the time, they said thanks and left, or scribbled some nonsense on the page because they needed to apply for a job to keep the unemployment benefits. Tons of insincere job hunters.

Depends on the job. But if you go out in public you can see that there are employee shortages with your own eyes. Both
