Depends. The twin turbos make great power, it's basically the same idea as a turbo diesel
But if you want durability, you need a naturally aspirated motor, with a cast iron block and port injection.
And those are all dead. So you have to pick your compromises.
I like the Nissan 5.6L, but mpg is horrible, and it's direct injected....so maybe the Ecoboost is the best choice after all?

In 2007 I think the Tundra pushed the market, made the big 3 act to get better. It seems like this version gets Toyota

In my experience the Toyota engine/transmission/everything really is just much more durable and reliable...

The torque curve is perfect for towing, just not 10klbs up mountain passes at 80mph. I've never towed with
