So it seems most people believe BYU screwed up in 2011 and could have been in the Big 12.
A friend asked me this question: If BYU had joined back then and the Big 12 added a couple more schools to get to 14 (rumor has it they trademarked the name Big 14), so you have the existing 10 teams plus BYU and say UCF, Cincinatti and 1 more school for the last 10 yeras. Would that have made a conference that had the prestige and ability to command more TV money to get closer to the SEC so it wouldn't have been as appealing for OK and Texas to leave?
Not saying on par with SEC but closer in revenue.
Would it have made for a more stable and stronger conference that would have kept those 2 schools from leaving?
Not that it makes any difference but interesting to think about.
