It might not though, you need to read the manual. Regulations require that peak torque and HP must be published with
The stated fuel, same with mpg.

Most rigs can back off the timing enough to run on regular, you just lose some peak HP.

The manual will tell, but nearly all modern engines except possibly super car motors run on regular just fine
