I'm curious whether the Texas schools will be split for recruiting purposes

Similar to the PAC splitting the California schools. I would guess that's what they'll do while also protecting in-state cross-divisional games. I could see it being something like this:

West:
BYU
Texas Tech
TCU
Oklahoma St
Kansas
Kansas St

East:
UCF
Cincinnati
WVU
Iowa St.
Baylor
Houston
