to do some service for the neighbors, and rake up everyone's leaves. He rakes them, bags them, and hauls them off. He completes three houses, they all offer to pay him and he says no. He then heads over to the our OCD neighbor and starts working, he is almost done when the neighbor comes home; my brother waves to him as he backs into the driveway, and he notices that he looks furious. Next thing he knows my neighbor is on him like white on rice, yelling how could you do this to me. My brother is befuddled, he says I was just trying to be nice. The neighbor then calms down and lets him know that he has ruined his lawn forever because he was raking in multiple directions and that he has a pattern that must be followed. Apparently he rotates each time he rakes going North to South East to West South to North and then West to East.

No good deed goes unpunished. My brother told me he wished he had let the other people pay him, because all the good feelings were gone, and if he had got paid he good at least have bought some baseball cards.
