I have a 2015 Ford F-150 with 3.5L Ecoboost. It now has 45K miles and is 6 years old. It's in excellent condition and has been a great truck in every way.
I had planned on turning it in on a 2021 F-150. However, the production problems and low dealer inventory have led to short supply and higher prices. Can't get the incentives and discounts that I got on the 2015 so would have to pay a lot more for a 2021 and probably can't find the truck I want in dealer inventory.
So now I'm waiting for the supply chain to get repaired and dealers to get trucks. Hopefully lots of trucks so Ford will offer incentives and there will be high dealer discounts.
I will look at the other trucks as I did in 2015. I drove a Tundra and liked it. My son had one at the time and liked it. I'd go for any of the others if I liked it better than the F-150. Price will be a factor too.
I'm interested in the hybrid so will take a look at those. Not going to do anything until the inventories go up and the prices go down.
I could order one but not interested in the hassle there and wouldn't get the best price, considering trade-in and all. Need to trade in to lower the sales tax.
