according to my wife, I'm not really overweight. He said my neck size is way under what they'd consider to be a risk factor. However, based on the sleep study, I have about 17 episodes every hour. I had let him know I frequently feel tired which prompted the study.
He said even if you are not super overweight and don't snore, it's still possible to have episodes at night where you don't get enough oxygen/stop breathing.
So, he recommended a CPAP. For those of you that use them, have noticed a tangible difference in your energy level and alertness?
I'm really not fond of the idea at all, but if it improves life quality, I suppose it's worth a look.
