I like dogs but I’d stick to these ideas:
1) Keep your dogs on your property 2) Keep them to yourself. Those are the principles behind most dog laws. So with that in mind here’s a couple of things to think about:

1) Do you need a fence or shock collar? Do you need to keep your dog chained up? Your dog must legally stay on your property in every city I know of. So, you must know your dog. Does your dog require a fence or other barrier to keep it on your property? If so, you must do whatever is necessary to keep your dog on your property.

2) Can you take your dog in public (like camping)? Your dog does not have the right to assault or even touch others, or even excessively bark. So, again you must know your dog. Can your dog leave others alone, not touch or bark at them? If not, then retrain or don’t bring your dog. No one else signed up to deal with your dog, only you did. Keep your dog to yourself regardless of how cute or harmless you believe it is. It’s often illegal and always inconsiderate to assume that everyone is ok with your dog and let it roam free around others.
