Yeah for sure, you see both on the most credible lists in the top 4 or 5
Some even at 1.
Texas chainsaw the first one was so raw, and relied on no special effects. The scene where they are trying to help the old grandpa crack that girls skull with a hammer and he starts sucking on her fingers. It was bone chilling for me to know it’s based off a true story and presented that way. Just terrifying that somewhere out there, there is a family like that.
But I’m glad you commented. I clearly love the shining too. That one messed me up as a teenager as well. Different scare strokes, for different scare folks.
