I am honestly blown away at how good this fitness system is. It is essentially the size of a big screen TV but offers a superior workout to my gym workouts.
Why superior?
1. You don’t need a spotter. If it’s too heavy you just push a button on the bar or handle. In addition, the technology knows if you failed and turns off the weight. As a result, I am pushing myself way harder than I can at the gym.
2. You never have to go thru the hassle of switching weights/plates etc. Just hit a button.
3. My workouts go about twice as fast because no travel time plus switching from exercise to exercise and adjusting weights is so much faster.
4. I love the tracking features. You can save every work out and see how much weight you did, what exercises, etc. and thus track progress. It also sets your weight on exercises automatically (which of course can be adjusted) based on how you’ve done on comparable exercises. So it takes out guess work saves time.
5. You can do guided workouts, but you can also create your own from the app. I have push, pull leg splits now. So for the push, i set up the following in the app: I do 4x10 bench, 3x10 cable fly; 4x10 military; 3x10 lateral raise; 3x10 front raise; 3x10 skull crusher; and 3x12 overhead extension. One minute rest between sets; 2:00 between exercises. Since it knows my weight from last time, it starts out at the right weight automatically. If it thinks I can do it too easily it can adjust (or you can manually adjust). When I finish a set, it counts down a minute rest. When I finish an exercise, it counts down 2:00. Again you can pause it or change it if needed. Very easy to do circuits or whatever you want.
The only downside, aside from the cost, is that there aren’t great substitutes for leg curls, leg extensions, or leg press. But deadlifts, squats, Bulgarian splits, step ups, and hip thrusts are all as good or better than free weights. I like leg press but don’t think it’s critical; and extensions and curls are good finishers but not necessary.
Huge recommend.
