Just an FYI: Very few of the Cougarettes actually did drill in high school. Most of them (including my daughter) train from a very early age in all styles of dance - ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, etc. - at quality dance studios. If they do drill in high school, it's only after years of training at studios before deciding to get more involved in their high school. The Cougarettes actually have three Miss Drill Utah overall winners on this year's team, including the 2019 and 2020 winners). One of those three continued at her dance studio until high school graduation and only did drill very very part time.

We also have dancers from Idaho and Arizona and recently South Carolina as well. So not all are from Utah. 🙂
