Yes the Pili injury has hurt a lot. But the scheme hasn't been the same either with the loss of Pili
Not sure how losing Pili made us go so vanilla. And when we do blitz everyone in the stadium knows it well ahead of the snap.
Disquising a blitz is very elementary on defense and yet it appears we have no idea how to do it.

I just looked up Timmy McClain (USF QB) and he has an ESPN QBR of 37.6 on the year. It was 77 against us.
