When you play BYU, one thing is for certain: You should win the time of possession battle. Because the Tuiaki style of defense is very risk-averse and doesn't look to create havoc.

Boise and Baylor, our two losses, you'll see we got crushed in TOP. However, with USF they dominated us in TOP but we still won. Ironically the only two schools we beat in TOP this year are the Utah schools.

Our defense is a liability as the style of play doesn't allow them to get off the field and thus tire out. When our offense is bad like freak fumbling against Boise, and weak OL play against Baylor, the defense has zero chance to bail them out with its risk-averse defense. We seem to be fine getting ran on and eating dink and dunk passes. Just so as long as you don't beat our D over the top coach Tuiaki is happy.

In conclusion: Coach Tuiaki will be our DC next season because he's so good.
