I'm fine if you want to disagree with my takes. Some of you guys really get your panties twisted too easily. This is a sports board after all and not Elder's Quorum.

Some fans are just happy with Ws regardless of how or even the opponent. Some fans, like myself, want to see BYU improve and see pretty obvious ways that that can happen. I want to see BYU put together a special year every so often. If that's not your goal as fan, then you do you. As for me, I want to see coaches adopt best practices and improve.

And yes I believe Romney is a better passing QB than Hall and that the offense very possibly would score more with him at QB. The only thing I've said about Hall is that the offense is inconsistent with him at QB and that he doesn't seem to see the middle of the field very well. Hall seems to move the ball well but the offense just struggles in finishing drives.

I also believe Tuiaki is a below average defensive coordinator. Sure, talent is not great but, well, that's sort of his and Sitake's fault. And by sort of, I mean entirely their fault. Tackling is also very poor. Scheme over his tenure has been too vanilla. Got to do better in getting QB pressures and stopping teams from running all over you. There has been some improvements with the defensive play calling being a little more varied. In fact, that and turnover margin has been a big reason BYU is 6-2 instead of 4-4 but they still have a ways to go.

Anyway go ahead with your smiley faces or whatever it is you do when you disagree. I think BYU has a chance for a special year next season however have to do better with getting opposing offenses off the field and need to bring in some talent to enhance the dline.
