In honor of Virginia week
and the fact that it's illegal to use radar detectors in Virginia, there's something the Highway Patrol and Utah County law enforcement should do. They should all agree to, for one week, not let someone having a radar detector influence if they give a ticket or not, and go for the full charge or not.

A number of officers will pull someone over with intentions of giving a warning, then change the plan to a ticket if they see a radar detector. Or pull someone over for 17 over with intentions of citing for 10, seeing the detector and changing the plan to a full 17 over citation. What Utah officers should do in honor of Virginia week is still give warnings or reduced citations to people even if they have detectors, if doing so was their intention.
