This might sound dumb, but I have a cast iron frying pan I LOVE for that.
I actually sanded it down before using it the first time to make it more smooth than it was when I got it, and then seasoned it.

It is absolutely awesome for eggs. A tiny bit of bacon grease or butter and they never stick. Frying onions, mushrooms, veggies, etc., same story. Easy to wipe out and clean up. Sometimes my wife likes to go crazy with some of the other stuff she cooks in it, and then it requires a little more cleanup.

But I'm pretty pleased with it - more than I thought I would be.
