It starts off books 1-5 as the greatest epic fantasy or sci Fi of all time
Then books 6-11 or so are slow slogs and then the last 2 books wrap up nicely and I even really liked the controversial ending

books 4-8 are a little slow at times. Book 1 is amazing all by itself, so go ahead and read that to see.
